OUR COMPANY

Kaci Beeler

Kaci Beeler is a visual artist, improviser, writer, director, and stage and film actor based out of Austin, TX. She has been performing improvisational theatre since 2002 and is a company member with several award-winning ensembles and duos including Parallelogramophonograph, The Amazon and The Milksop, and Available Cupholders. In addition to her work as an actor/writer/director, Kaci is also a dynamic scenic, costume, & promotional designer.

She has directed and produced dozens of improvised and devised shows in Austin since 2005 and has won several Austin Critics Table and Austin Chronicle "Best of Austin" Awards for her work. Kaci has toured to over 50 cities and 8 countries including the UK, Australia, France, Spain, China, South Korea, and Japan to perform and teach improvised theatre. She can also be seen in numerous national commercials, films, and television shows.

Kaci is beyond thrilled to be working with ABT. She was bitten by the devising bug in 2011, which drove her to create her first devised scripted piece, Blood, Sweat, and Cheers (available through YouthPlays) in 2013, which then led to ABT's first collab Subject to Control (2016), then the epic For Time & Eternity (2017), and then her own baby Killer Girls (2018).

J.R. Zambrano

J.R. Zambrano is an Austin-based Actor, Director, Improviser, and Writer. He's been performing for more than 15 years now, the last four of which have been at the Hideout Theatre where he's been in productions like Fiasco and I'll Take the Physical Challenge, and directed productions including the sold-out La Vida de los Muertos, an improvised narrative set in the world of the dead, and How I Saved The World Over Summer Vacation an 80's-fueled show about kids on bikes saving the world.

If you corner him when he's not on the stage you'll find he writes for the internet, which explains a lot if you think about it. He'd like to thank Shaquille O'Neal whose presence both on and off-screen in Barkley, Shut Up and Jam: Gaiden was all too brief, but legendary nonetheless.

Company Member

Iden Payne Award-winning shows "Hurly Burly" and "Nothing & Everything: Improvised Anton Chekhov Plays".
